LASO

LASO

As a Latina, it means a lot to be involved in LASO and celebrate Latin traditions, like Las Posadas, with the campus community. Joining a club extends your community and support system as it allows you to establish relationships with people that already have something in common with you.

Rotaract Club

Involvement in the Rotaract Club means being a part of something greater than myself. I have the privilege of working will people of all ages to make a difference in our community. We come together to build friendships and share ideas while observing our motto: Service Above Self.

Community Service Center

Service

The Community Service Center (CSC) can help you brainstorm and coordinate service projects, connect with local opportunities and spread the word about your campaigns. Ways to serve include:

  • Join a service trip over your winter or spring break. In 2019, Alternative Spring Break volunteers traveled to Puerto Rico to help repair roofs and walls of homes damaged by Hurricane Maria.
  • Volunteer in the community garden. Work side-by-side with faculty and staff in the garden to grow food, learn about gardening, and make sustainability a part of your everyday life.
  • Work with an organization that you feel passionate about helping, while building your resume, through a non-profit internship.

Leadership

Take advantage of our leadership development activities, such as Freshmen and Sophomore Retreats and the Leadership Awards.
